Compressed air tank
A truck air tank is part of the compressed air system in a truck. It is used to store compressed air that is required for various functions in the vehicle.
The compressed air tank is usually made of steel or aluminum and is usually cylindrical or oval in shape. Depending on the size of the truck and the requirements of the vehicle, the container can have different capacities.
The main function of the compressed air tank is to maintain a constant pressure in the compressed air system. This pressure is generated by the air compressor and fed into the container. When the truck's compressed air system requires compressed air, it is taken from the tank. The compressed air is then used, among other things, for actuating the brakes, the suspension of the vehicle, shifting the transmission and other pneumatic components.
The compressed air tank must be serviced and checked regularly to ensure that it is working properly and is not leaking. If damaged or showing signs of wear, the container should be replaced in order to ensure safe functioning of the compressed air system.
