The LUIS TURN DETECT is compliant with the requirements of the BMVI recommendation for sideguard assistants:
Detection range of at least 2.5 m x 6 m
Can be activated via direction indicator (turn signals) and speed (GPS). Speed range adjustable.
Differentiation of moving objects such as cyclists and static objects (such as parked cars, etc.)
Two-stage warning: purely visual for cyclists in the danger zone and additional acoustic warning by turn signal activation
Information of the driver in case of malfunction (e.g. defective camera)
A general operating permit (ABE) has been issued by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), regardless of the vehicle type. However, a mounting area of the camera sensors must be observed:
Minimum mounting height of 1.80 m (maximum 4 meters)
Distance to the front of the vehicle at least 1 meter /max. 6 meters
External alarms (e.g. an LED warning light, side marker lights) can be activated via an additional control output (I/O). The system includes a wide-angle camera, the control box, a GPS module, a buzzer as well as the LUIS 7" monitor Professional and the necessary cables.
For professional calibration, the calibration box (item no. S245559220), which is sold separately as an accessory. Please ask your customer advisor.
